The next Global Chair and CEO of EY will be Janet Truncale
Today, EY announced that Janet Truncale will take the helm as the next EY Global Chair and CEO, starting on July 1, 2024. She succeeds Carmine Di Sibio, who will step down after a noteworthy tenure.
Janet currently leads as Regional Managing Partner for EY Americas Financial Services Organization (FSO), where she oversees a dynamic team of over 14,000 professionals. Her leadership has been instrumental in fostering a trustworthy and thriving financial services industry, one where customers’ financial aspirations are within reach and the global economy remains robust and secure.
Before her current role, Janet served as the Managing Partner for Americas FSO Assurance, where she focused on enhancing audit quality and managing a team of 3,000 professionals.

During his time as Global Chair and CEO, Carmine Di Sibio spearheaded the NextWave strategy, a pioneering global initiative aimed at creating long-term value for stakeholders including EY’s people, partners, clients, and society. This strategy, with its emphasis on global integration, client-centric approaches, and technological advancement, led to a significant revenue increase and a compounded annual growth rate of 9.5%. Notably, Di Sibio championed major investments in emerging technologies and artificial intelligence, including the launch of the US$1.4 billion EY.ai platform.
Carmine also made substantial strides in sustainability, leading EY’s commitment to becoming carbon negative by 2025, and achieving a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions since 2019. His tenure is also marked by his dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion, exemplified by the formation of the Global Social Equity Task Force and increasing female representation on the Global Executive board to 33%.
