Geometry | VMLY&R COMMERCE Colombia introduces Camilo Afanador as its new CEO.

Two decades of experience in the WPP network and his leadership in the experiential area make Camilo the ideal person in this next moment for the agency. His career with the network began in 2003 when he joined G2 Colombia as an associate and strategic planner, at that time with Xavier Serrano, former CEO, both worked together to turn G2 into what is now Geometry | VMLY&R COMMERCE Colombia.

“Today, we are 270 talents from different areas generating integral strategies focused on conversion. This, added to the network to which we belong, makes this new step one more opportunity for the agency to continue growing at the same pace it has been doing, benefiting our clients and our teams,” says Camilo Afanador regarding this new step in his career.

The appointment comes at a time when the agency presents a 35% growth and closes 2022 with more than 25 awards in regional and global advertising, creative and marketing festivals. The global network was recently recognised as Agency of the Year by global editorial publication The Drum for its delivering creativity in commerce channels at the intersection of physical, digital and social.  

Camilo Afanador, new CEO, and Xavier Serrano, who is leaving the position to undertake new projects, look confidently at the next step of the agency’s evolution as it sets its focus on the implementation of creative and disruptive marketing strategies that lead to conversion at any time and in any channel, which today is Creative Commerce.
