Ex-Dresser-Rand CEO is planning a startup in Olean.

The former CEO and president of Dresser-Rand owns a business that has intentions to reintroduce manufacturing jobs to a portion of the North Olean plant.

The compressor testing facility is currently being prepared for use by FoxRES LLC, owned by former senior Dresser-Rand Corp. executive Vincent Volpe. There are currently roughly 10 people working at this location. Texas employs three additional people.

The new business has a lease with Cimolai-HY, which just purchased the 80-acre complex from Siemens Energy and could potentially hire up to 100 workers if the initiative results in manufacturing as anticipated. Cimolai-HY formerly owned the former Dresser-Rand facility.
