Kannapolis pharma startup Genixus CEO looks to next fundraiser as Concord facility nears completion

[ad_1]

Genixus, a Kannapolis-based pharmaceutical business, is nearing completion on its 30,000-square-foot production and distribution facility in Concord. The structure is nearly 90% complete, with only a few finishing touches needed for the office, manufacturing line, and warehousing rooms. Genixus expects the facility at 4715 Corporate Drive in Concord to be completed by late July.

Kannapolis-based Genixus, formed in 2019, manufactures ready-to-use syringes for usage by medical workers in a variety of healthcare settings. The Concord plant is an extension of the company’s production activities to suit the growing demand for its first product, ready-to-use KinetiX RTA Propofol syringes. Propofol is a general anesthetic that is commonly used in major surgery. The syringes will be available in the fourth quarter of 2022.
