A digital entrepreneur has resigned from the senior position at the company she founded in 2018 that develops commercial software. The chief executive of e-bate in Leicestershire, Leanne Bonner-Cooke MBE, has resigned, citing the need for “a digital detox” and the opportune moment to do so.
John O’Sullivan, who has a lengthy history of assisting companies to expand via people and technology, has taken her place. The e-bate software platform assists businesses in managing and streamlining rebate and promotional incentive programs, which in the past were complicated and manually calculated using spreadsheets.
In addition to owning e-bate, Ms. Bonner-Cooke developed the software firm Evolve-IT Consulting and received an MBE in 2017 for her contributions to the advancement of women in business.
For e-bate, she has completed many rounds of investment, bringing the total amount raised by the business to more than £4 million.
“I am leaving behind a business I founded and am extremely proud of,” she stated.
“As a team, we have accomplished incredible things and laid the groundwork for a SaaS (Software as a Service) company that will only get stronger.
“For me, it’s time to change course. I will always be proud of the idea I had for e-bate. I’ll keep tabs on the business’s development and do all I can to help the team.
She wrote on Linked In: “Five years after developing the vision, I have resigned as the CEO of e-bate Limited.
“After managing my enterprises for 17 years, which, as all of you entrepreneurs know, requires you to be on call around the clock, I’m going to take a break to refuel, reflect, rediscover, and replan the next chapter.
“A digital detox and wellness retreat on the south coast is my first stop. Other than that, you can find me riding, paddle boarding, and strolling.
John O’Sullivan expressed his eagerness to continue e-bate’s development by utilizing the experience and leadership abilities he had developed while working worldwide in a variety of market areas.
He was an early adopter of the internet start-up culture in the 1990s and went on to run companies in consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, travel, hiring, and human resources.
He is the chairman of Oaklands Further Education College in Hertfordshire and launched the flexible hour’s recruitment firm Ten2Two in 2007.
“I’m thrilled to take the helm at e-bate,” he exclaimed. I’ve seen first-hand the value of efficient rebate management, therefore I’m eager to collaborate with the outstanding e-bate team to help more and more companies maximize their commercial returns in the UK and abroad.
