Ajay Chitkara has been named the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ecom Express Limited, a leading end-to-end technology-enabled logistics solutions provider to the eCommerce industry backed by illustrious private equity investors Partners Group, Warburg Pincus, and British International Investment.

Ajay will start working for Ecom Express on September 1st, 2023, after serving as Director & CEO of Bharti Airtel’s enterprise division, Airtel Business. The Company’s Board of Directors will receive his report.

Ajay is a top business leader with more than 20 years of experience. At Airtel Business, he has spearheaded and implemented significant portfolio and organisational change, turning it into India’s largest enterprise IT firm. Additionally, he holds board positions with Network i2i, Hughes Communication, and Nxtra by Airtel. Before joining Airtel in 2001, Ajay began his career in sales at Comsat Max Limited.

We welcome Ajay as our new CEO, said Ecom Express Chairperson V. Anantharaman in a statement announcing the hiring. Ajay has a wealth of business knowledge from his time at Airtel, where he excelled in both leadership and strategy.
