‘How bad is job market’: Bengaluru startup CEO receives over 3,000 resumes in 48 hours!

The CEO and founder of a Bengaluru-based startup was taken aback when they saw that they had received more than 3,000 resumes in only 48 hours for a variety of job listings on the company website. Kartik Mandaville, the founder of Springworks, a business that makes software products for HR professionals, questioned the state of the job market in light of this response.
How awful is the job market if we’ve only received over 3K resumes in the previous 48 hours on our website? On July 16, Mandaville published on Twitter. When a user questioned Mandaville about if the past 48 hours had been unusual, he responded that it had been this way for a month because they had received more than 12,500 applications.
He was startled when the entrepreneur said “nowhere as of now” when asked if he was advertising the jobs on any platforms.
A visit to the Springworks website revealed job listings for “permanent remote” positions in a number of industries, including tech, operations, product development, and sales and marketing.
Was this more of an entry-level position? For internship and entry-level positions, we received a comparable amount of applications, but not as many for senior or leadership positions, a user observed.
However, in response to the user, Mandaville stated that it covered a wide range because some positions required more than five years of experience.
