The Foellinger Foundation, an Allen County nonprofit, has started looking for a new president and CEO and anticipates making a hire by the fall.
On June 16, the application procedure started. Since October 2022, David Bennett has served in the position of pro tempore.
According to Bennett’s statement in a news release, “The foundation has continued to grow and evolve in response to our community’s needs.” We are eager to start looking for the next executive who will carry on the mission of our founders.
The search committee, which will examine consultant recommendations, conduct interviews, and offer a candidate to the board of directors, will be led by Michael Moellering, the head of the foundation’s board of directors.
The consultant for the hiring process will be the Chicago-based executive search company Kittleman & Associates, LLC.
According to the business, the ideal applicant embodies the ideals of the Foellinger family and is accomplished, a strategic leader, inquisitive, and experienced.
According to the foundation’s website, the Fort Wayne-based organization offers grants to non-profit groups in Allen County that concentrate on capacity building, community interests, and early childhood, youth, and family development.
The foundation recently reopened a structure that underwent a $4 million restoration to offer meeting facilities that Allen County not-for-profit organizations can utilize at no cost.
