For some Monday encouragement, IT minister shares this video of Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
IT minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar is a regular on X (formerly Twitter) and he often shares motivational photos as well as videos. In his recent tweet, he shared a video in which Google CEO Sundar Pichai is emphasising the importance of holding onto your hopes and dreams, and actively pursuing them.
“Thought for the day!,” his tweet reads, pushing followers to start their week off right.
“Keep your hopes, keep your dreams and try to follow them. I think most of how life plays out is up to you, not up to what happens outside of you and I think it’s important to keep that in mind and take the long-term view now,” he quoted Pichai.
On previous occasions, Chandrasekhar had shared similar videos. One of the videos he shared was of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
“Make sure you are focused on something you are passionate about. JeffBezos,” he quoted Bezos as saying.
Similarly, he shared a video of Tesla CEO Elon Musk and quoted him, “You guys are the magicians of the 21st century. Don’t let anything hold you back. Imagination is the limit. Go out there and create some magic.”
Chandrasekhar and Pichai are engineers
Chandrasekhar has a few similarities with Pichai. Both of them are engineers and the IT minister has studied electrical engineering. He obtained his master’s degree in computer science in 1988 from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
He has worked in companies like Intel – the US-based semiconductor giant and is a former chip designer. At Intel he worked as senior design engineer of the team that designed and launched the 32-bit 80486 microprocessor and CPU architect. He was also a member of the team that designed the architecture of Pentium microprocessor.
