According to the CEO, the metal recycling business Runaya has all the paperwork set for an IPO.

In the realm of metal recycling, Runaya, spearheaded by the dynamic duo of Navin Agarwal’s sons, is poised for a significant leap forward. Annanya Agarwal, the CEO and co-founder, affirms the company’s readiness to embark on its initial public offering (IPO), armed with meticulous paperwork and a robust strategy.

While precise timelines for the IPO remain elusive, Runaya’s focus is firmly fixed on fortifying its operational foundations. The ethos of readiness permeates the company’s ethos, as it diligently prepares to seize the opportune moment signaled by its bankers.

With substantial investments already totaling around Rs 300 crore, Runaya has ambitious expansion plans on the horizon. An infusion of an additional Rs 700 crore over the next 18-20 months underscores the company’s commitment to growth and innovation.

Among its expansion endeavors, Runaya aims to bolster its presence in aluminum and zinc sectors, with a keen eye on sustainability. The pursuit of green aluminum, boasting the lowest carbon footprint globally, exemplifies Runaya’s dedication to eco-friendly practices.

Innovative projects like manufacturing green aluminum powder for paint applications showcase Runaya’s penchant for pushing boundaries and exploring new avenues within the metal recycling landscape.

The company’s revenue trajectory reflects its upward momentum, with expectations set at Rs 1,200 crore for the ongoing fiscal year and a lofty target of Rs 2,000 crore for the subsequent financial year. Such projections are not mere aspirations but grounded in tangible achievements, as evidenced by Runaya’s revenue of Rs 500 crore in FY24.

Driven by a commitment to sustainability and efficiency, Runaya has made significant strides in waste recycling, processing over 57,000 metric tonnes in the last fiscal year alone. Looking ahead, the company aims to ramp up its recycling capacity to unprecedented levels, with ambitious targets set for both waste recycling and green metal recovery.

With a vision to process five million tonnes of waste annually and recover 250 kilo tonnes of green metal, Runaya stands poised to make a profound impact on the metal recycling landscape, ushering in a new era of sustainability and innovation.
