How Fire-Boltt, lead by Aayushi Kishore, is dominating the wearables business

Aayushi Kishore hails from a lineage of entrepreneurs, with her father, Lalit Kishore, paving the way by bringing renowned brands like Nike and Lotto to India.

In 2011, Aayushi, alongside her father, recognized a significant market opportunity for an aspirational mid-segment sports lifestyle brand. Thus, they founded Globalite Retail, a venture fully integrated from manufacturing to retail.

Building on this entrepreneurial spirit, in 2015, Aayushi joined forces with her brother, Arnav, to launch Fire-Boltt, a brand offering a range of wearable, gaming, and audio products. Their product line includes smartwatches, Bluetooth earphones, headphones, wireless earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, soundbars, and more.

Their journey began with a keen observation: there was a dearth of homegrown brands offering high-quality smartwatches at affordable prices. Fire-Boltt aimed to bridge this gap, bringing aspirational products within reach of India’s youth without breaking the bank.

Their meticulous approach extended beyond product development to include a strong focus on sales channels. With over 20,000 points of sale across 300 cities, both online and offline, Fire-Boltt has established a robust presence in the market. Their emphasis on quick delivery, with a promise of shipment within 48 hours on their website, has further cemented customer loyalty.

At the helm of Fire-Boltt is Arnav, who, with his passion for sports and technology, drives the brand’s innovative spirit. Under his leadership, Fire-Boltt has introduced groundbreaking features like Bluetooth calling smartwatches and Amoled displays, setting new benchmarks in the industry.

Despite not having local manufacturing facilities initially, Fire-Boltt plans to commence local production by the end of the next quarter. Future endeavors include venturing into audio accessories and the broader IoT category, further diversifying their product portfolio.

In the fiercely competitive landscape, Fire-Boltt differentiates itself by prioritizing the specs-to-price ratio without compromising quality. This approach has earned them a loyal customer base, with over 10 million users and revenue of Rs 500 crore in FY22.

Aayushi attributes their success to a clear vision, fearless approach, and unwavering dedication to quality. With aspirations to expand globally, starting with the US and Europe, Fire-Boltt is poised to make waves in international markets, propelled by their relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation.
