In a move signaling both transition and continuity, Airtel Africa has bid farewell to its stalwart Chief Executive Officer, Olusegun “Segun” Ogunsanya, while welcoming a new leader into its fold. Effective July 1, 2024, Ogunsanya will pass the baton to Sunil Taldar, marking the beginning of a new era for the telecom and mobile money giant.

Ogunsanya’s departure marks the end of an illustrious tenure that began in 2012 when he assumed leadership of Airtel’s operations in Nigeria.
